EP Kings walk away with another 4 points , still unbeaten, but no looking as good as they did in the beginning of the season. The first half marred with indiscipline, back chatting and indifferent play, shoving players and high tackles. Kings opened the score with a penalty from George Whitehead, but soon ex Bok Andre Pretorius leveled the score. Both teams did not deliver any spectaculer plays, and went into the half time, 6 all.
The second half did not start any better with Clint Newland sin-binned for continuous infringements at the breakdown. Perez seemed to change the game with some powerful running and Kings came to life and Perez scored a try in the corner. The conversion went wayward but a penalty soon after didn’t and the Kings were 19-6 in the lead. Kings gave away a penalty in front of the posts for Pretorius to convert. Two late penalties by Dunlop gave the Kings the 20-12 lead they held on to till the end. Kings now 6 points clear but one game more than the rest.
Kings: Try Perez, Whitehead 2 penalties, Dunlop two penalties.
Leopards: Pretorius 4 penalties.
